Tiarella cordifolia , also known as heartleaf foamwort, is a low-growing perennial with beautifully marked, heart-shaped leaves and delicate white flowers that appear in spring. This shade-loving plant is ideal as groundcover under trees and shrubs, in woodland edges, shady borders, and natural gardens. Tiarella cordifolia grows best in humus-rich, moist soil in partial to full shade. The plant is low-maintenance, winter-hardy, and attracts bees and butterflies.
