Symphytum grandiflorum 'Wisley Blue' is a strong, ground-covering perennial with large, rough green leaves and striking, soft blue flowers that appear in early spring. This cultivar is particularly suitable for semi-shaded to shady borders, under shrubs, and in natural gardens, where it quickly forms a dense growth and suppresses weeds. Symphytum grandiflorum 'Wisley Blue' grows best in moist, humus-rich, and well-drained soil. The plant is low-maintenance, hardy, and very valuable to early bees and other insects.
