With its dense growth and glossy green leaves, the Cherry Laurel 'Novita' provides an attractive and vibrant solution for privacy and garden design. This hardy evergreen begins with light green foliage that matures into a rich dark green. Unlike typical deciduous trees, Cherry Laurel 'Novita' retains its leafy splendor throughout the year, ensuring a lovely green display even in winter.

The plants are delivered with a height between 100 and 125 cm, not including the pot, making them perfect for creating a hedge of 10 meters. We recommend planting 2 plants per meter, spaced about 20 cm apart. The plants are offered in pots measuring 30 cm in diameter with a volume of 12 liters and are pot-grown, ensuring high quality and stability.

Benefits of Cherry Laurel 'Novita':

  • Dense, evergreen growth: Ideal for those who desire a lush, evergreen hedge without the use of conifers.
  • Fast-growing: Under ideal conditions, it can grow 30 to 40 cm per year.
  • Efficient planting: Its bushy growth means a dense hedge can be achieved with fewer plants per meter.
  • Seasonal appeal: In May and June, it boasts lovely white flower spikes among the greenery, which emit a delightful fragrance; in autumn, ornamental black, cherry-sized fruits adorn the branches (note: the fruits are not edible).

Location and Care Tips:

  • Robust and low-maintenance: Thrives in both sunny and semi-shaded locations.
  • Soil preferences: Prefers moist, well-drained soils rich in humus and nutrients.
  • Pruning tolerance: Responds well to pruning, promoting vigorous new growth.
  • Optimal pruning time: Pruning is best done in March/April or in the autumn.
  • Resilience: Capable of rejuvenating from old wood after extended periods without pruning.

The Cherry Laurel 'Novita' is not only an excellent choice for hedging but also makes a stunning group planting in the garden or as a solitary focal point in a large pot on the terrace. Its tolerance for pruning also makes it suitable for topiary, allowing you to shape it as desired—a true enhancement for any garden landscape!
