The composition we present of different types of Cambria is truly spectacular.

Produced by Inca, who is the only grower doing this type of production, it is also completely handmade.

Origin and Description

  • Origin : The Cambria orchids are hybrids created by crossing different species of orchids from the groups Odontoglossum, Oncidium, Miltonia and others. They do not occur in nature, but only in cultivation.
  • Appearance : They have flowers of various shapes and sizes, often characterized by vibrant colors and unique patterns. The leaves are long and thin, and have an intense green color.

Care and Maintenance

  • Light : They prefer bright but indirect light. Too much direct sunlight can burn the leaves.
  • Temperature : Ideal between 15-25°C. They can tolerate short periods of higher or lower temperatures, but should not be exposed to frost.
  • Humidity : They need a humid environment, with a relative humidity between 50% and 70%. Using a humidifier or placing the plant on a tray of gravel and water can help.
  • Watering : Water regularly but allow the substrate to dry between waterings. Watering can be done more frequently during the growing season (spring and summer).
  • Fertilization : Use a specific orchid fertilizer every 2-3 weeks during the growing season. Reduce fertilization in autumn and winter.

Bloom

  • Flowering Cycle : The Cambria can bloom once or twice a year. The flowers remain beautiful for several weeks.
  • Rest period : After flowering, the plant enters a rest phase in which less water and fertilizer are required.

Repot

  • Frequency : Every 2-3 years or when the substrate becomes compact and no longer drains well.
  • Substrate : Use a specific mix for epiphytic orchids, which may contain bark, sphagnum and perlite to ensure good drainage.

Common problems

  • Pests : Mealybugs, aphids and spider mites can attack the Cambria. It is important to check the plants regularly and, if necessary, treat them with suitable insecticides.
  • Diseases : Fungal diseases can be caused by excess moisture. Make sure that air circulates well around the plants and that the substrate is not too wet.
